Ink, Printing and Finishes

Are soy-based inks considered to be environment-friendly?

‘Soy-based’ inks often contain petroleum-based carriers, and/or the soy may be sourced from farms that displaced rain forests (deforestation).

Are there other inks that are considered environment-friendly?

Printing presses that are Cradle-to-Cradle certified (bronze, silver, gold), use inks composed of identifiable chemicals that can be absorbed naturally in a biological cycle, unlike petroleum-based inks.
